Blue Ridge School District is excited to share that we are transitioning from Remind to ParentSquare for our mass communication needs. Throughout the next few weeks we will be sending out email invitations to activate your account. Please make sure the information you have in Sapphire is correct.
ParentSquare notification process is set to "Digest" by default. This means all notifications (except those marked Urgent) will be delivered to you in a summarized digest at the end of the day. If you prefer to get posts and announcements instantly, you must go to your user preferences and change your notification frequency.
We are very excited to adopt a new form of communication at Blue Ridge School District. Please read the information below regarding our transition from Remind to Parent Square.
Background
The district has used Remind as our mass communication system for many years.
However, we recently learned that ParentSquare has acquired Remind, and in the not-too-distant future, Remind will be phased out.
ParentSquare offers all the same features as Remind, plus several additional tools that enhance functionality. In essence, we are not losing anything—in fact, we are gaining valuable features.
Parent, student, and staff data have already been uploaded into ParentSquare, so there is no need for you to create an account if you are staff, parent, or student of our District.
ParentSquare is a unified communication platform that provides a wide range of tools for districts, school administrators, and teachers to effectively communicate and engage with families and students. Some key features include:
Mass notifications and urgent alerts
Mobile apps for administrators and parents (iOS and Android)
Teacher and classroom communication
Direct messaging with two-way translation
Integration with social media (Facebook and Twitter) and websites
